Job Description Schedule:
The Physician shall visit and provide onsite services at any clinic location, at least once per week, with a minimum of 10 hours per month and 120 hours annually across all locations. The general schedule shall be between 8 am – 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, or negotiable depending on department needs; times may be adjusted as needed with agreement.
Responsibilities include:
Provide clinical and technical medical direction for evaluating and treating employees and contractors.Oversee the automated external defibrillator program and Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).Review and sign medical directives and protocols based on company standards; monitor clinical care for consistency.Serve as the Medical Review Officer for drug screenings, as delegated by the Medical Director.Establish relationships with community specialists to support effective medical care.Consult on public health, medical, and clinical issues affecting business operations.Support health promotion, wellness, prevention, and employee assistance programs.Maintain open communication with staff for clinical consultations.Review clinical documentation for compliance and best practices.Assist management and safety staff to reduce workplace health hazards.Provide ongoing clinical training and information to staff.Consult on episodic medical care as needed.Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses Services
Support evaluation, care, investigation, and documentation of occupational exposures, injuries, and illnesses.Provide clinical evaluation and support for injured employees.Review complex workers' compensation cases and develop management plans.Investigate causality, compensability, and record-ability of cases.Facilitate safe and efficient return-to-work processes.Qualifications
Medical Evaluations and Surveillance Services
Support the medical surveillance program and risk assessments.Evaluate clinical trends and perform medical examinations for surveillance purposes.Interpret clinical testing data such as labs, audiometry, and spirometry.Perform fitness-for-duty evaluations, reviewing medical histories and occupational exposures.Additional Information
