Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Urgent Care – Henrietta
Join Rochester Regional Health’s Orthopedics Department as a Physician Assistant in our Orthopedic Urgent Care setting. You will provide comprehensive patient care for walk‑in and scheduled follow‑up visits at the Henrietta location.
Responsibilities- Perform complete history and problem‑focused examination, establish working diagnosis of non‑operative and operative orthopedic conditions.
- Interpret x‑rays and other diagnostic studies; order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures; develop treatment plans.
- First assist orthopedic surgical cases and provide perioperative care for orthopedic surgery patients.
- Provide bedside treatments such as joint injections and manage acute care needs of hospitalized orthopedic patients.
- Coordinate and communicate all aspects of patient care; educate patients on treatment plans and follow‑up care.
- Prescribe medication, write orders, perform procedures, and document encounters per standard medical practice guidelines.
- Participate in quality reporting, education, and mentorship activities (e.g., preceptor, Grand Rounds).
- BS or equivalent Degree; PA‑C certification required.
- PA‑C certification (National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants) and New York State PA license (NYSED) required.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and exceptional documentation skills.
- Commitment to high quality patient care and continuous professional development.

Physical RequirementsMedium work:
Exertion 20–50 lbs occasionally; 10–25 lbs frequently; 10 lbs constantly. Requires frequent walking, standing, squatting.
Base pay: $100,000 – $150,000 per year. (May be modified; pay determined by experience, qualifications, location.)
