Position Summary
The Department of Theatre and Dance at Nazareth University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in Musical Theatre and Acting for the 2026‑2027 academic year. We seek dynamic and collaborative artist‑educators with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Voice for the Actor (specializing in Fitzmaurice Voicework or Patsy Rodenburg technique)
- Movement for the Actor (specializing in Alexander, Feldenkrais, Laban)
- Dialects and Accents (specializing in IPA, Knight‑Thompson)
- Musical Theatre Voice (must be trained in and teach CCM styles)
- Play Analysis
- Directing for the Stage
- Acting (Foundations through Advanced levels)
- Improvisation
- Teach one or more undergraduate courses in area(s) of expertise.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the BFA Musical Theatre, BFA Acting and BA Theatre Arts programs.
- Maintain an active professional practice and/or pedagogical development in the field.
- BA, BFA in Theatre Arts, Musical Theatre, or Acting.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the collegiate level and/or significant professional experience in theatre performance or pedagogy.
- Commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices that support a diverse student population.
- Master of Fine Arts (MFA) preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
