On Call Substitute - Citizenship & Science Academy

Overview

On-Call Substitute SANY's Citizenship and Science Academy of Rochester is excited to announce the opening of an On-Call Substitute for the  academic year. We are looking for an on-call substitute teacher willing to work in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply!

• Assist with preparation and instruction
• Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention
• Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events
• Implement classroom policies and procedures
• Lead students to and from specials/lunch
• Effectively manage student behavior
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

• Bachelor’s degree
• Certification is preferred but not required
• Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting is a plus
• Prior teaching experience is preferred and novice teachers are encouraged to apply
• Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education
