Teacher ENL TEACH-ENL

Description Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and qualified ENL (English as a New Language) Teacher to join our instructional team. The ENL Teacher will provide targeted English language instruction to multilingual learners, ensuring equitable access to the curriculum while fostering language development, cultural understanding, and academic achievement. This role requires collaboration with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

• Plan, deliver, and assess English language instruction aligned with state and district standards.
• Differentiate instruction based on students' English proficiency levels and individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify lessons and assessments for English learners.
• Support students in acquiring listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.
• Monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments, maintaining accurate records.
• Provide small group and individual instruction to ensure academic growth.
• Communicate regularly with families, offering support and resources to enhance language learning at home.
• Participate in professional development to remain current with best practices in ENL/ESL instruction.
• Advocate for English learners to ensure their inclusion and success in all aspects of school life.

• Collaborate with faculty to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Provide services across grade levels as needed (elementary, middle, or high school).
• Engage in ongoing reflection and professional learning to improve instruction.

• Bachelor's degree required;
  Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field preferred.
• Valid state certification in ESOL/ENL/TESOL (or eligibility for certification).
• Demonstrated experience working with multilingual learners in K-12 settings.
• Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills.
• Cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
