Federal Work Study, Student Employee Health & Physical Education
The FWS position will support the Staff of the Health and Physical Education Department in various ways. These include open lab hours, laboratory preparation, Human Performance Lab oversight during open hours.
This is a Federal Work Study position. Eligible applicants MUST have received prior approval from the Financial Aid Office. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying.
Examples ofDuties & Responsibilities
- Checking in students and staff in the HPL
- Organizing various equipment rooms for HPE
- Maintain inventory for equipment for a variety of classes as needed
- Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.
- Contributes to, supports, and maintains an equitable, inclusive, and collaborative College environment.
- Maintains technological competencies utilized by the College.
- Commits to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college.
- Commits to professional growth. which includes seeking ongoing training in diversity, equity and inclusion to better serve students.
- Applicants must be Federal Work Study eligible (you can confirm your eligibility with a Financial Aid representative)
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with guidance and oversight by supervisor on various tasks needed for the department.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge and experience using Excel spreadsheets and strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour. Hours per week:
Up to 20 hours/week
