SANY’s Citizenship and Science Academy of Rochester (Grades K‑5) is excited to announce the opening of an Elementary Teacher role for the 2024‑2025 academic year. We are looking for dynamic and creative elementary teachers. This position is open to experienced teachers and encourages new teachers to apply. New York State Certification is required.
Responsibilities- Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter’s curriculum.
- Collaborate with staff to determine charter requirements for instructional goals, objectives and methods.
- Prepare students for the standardized tests relevant to the content area.
- Maintain excellent content knowledge and pedagogy.
- Use analytics and data to drive instruction and promote learning.
- Appreciate regular feedback, accountability, and the rewards of serving our students and communities.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - New York State teaching certification required.
- Experience teaching a diverse student population or in an urban setting is a plus.
- Prior teaching experience preferred; novice teachers encouraged to apply.
- Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education.
