Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position is 100% onsite
Hours are 7am-4pm M-F
Responsibilities- Support Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for spacecraft involving Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing. This role includes off-shift, weekend, and potential overtime work to accommodate 24/7 test operations.
- Ensure adherence to applicable procedures and Customer contract requirements during the EVT campaign.
- Support pre-test meetings by verifying test setup configuration, test equipment calibration is current, and flight software versions are current.
- Support post-test meetings by verifying all signoffs are complete, all requirements have been met, and all test flags or nonconformances dispositioned appropriately.
- Document and facilitate timely disposition of nonconformances (Company) and test flags through TIPQA/JIRA systems.
- Support operational tasks including solar array integration and testing, installations, bus movements, and other activities.
- Participate in daily planning and update meetings with Customer for communication of quality issues and resource needs.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, and QE team to resolve issues and ensure smooth test execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and three years’ experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in Aerospace.
- Experience with industry quality standards (AS9100/ISO
9001 preferred), Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures, and Customer contract requirements. - Strong RCCA facilitation experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical presentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.).
- Experience with Engineering Validation Testing strongly preferred.
- US Citizenship required
