Role Overview
This position is located in Eastman Business Park in the Industrial Films and Chemicals Division. The principal responsibility for this position is to provide engineering project and day-to-day support within the Film Coating manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Providing technical support for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Batch Melt and Automated Delivery System manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshooting of quality and equipment related issues
- Making data-driven process and equipment changes to improve reliability and reduce NSDT
- Capital projects related to capability enhancements
- Projects designed to address equipment obsolescence, process improvements and reductions of waste
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in an engineering field with particular coursework or field experience associated with fluid and heat transfer, as well as fluid mixing, and some background level of chemistry.

- Demonstrated ability to trouble‑shoot issues and assist in root‑cause analysis techniques
- Strong interest in hands‑on experience working with Operations and Skilled Trades personnel around multi-generational equipment
- Aptitude for learning and applying principles associated with health, safety, and environmental controls and monitoring equipment
- Self-starter and independently motivated
- Adaptable to changing conditions and priorities
- Ability to work well with other process engineers and skilled trades experts
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adhere to manufacturing process procedures and personnel safety principles
- Design knowledge and/or education related to process instrumentation controls, programmable logic control systems, chemical reaction principles, flow control, mixing, and heat transfer equipment would be advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of hazardous location installation requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Equivalent
