Manage engineering and project‑management efforts for the organization. This includes scheduling and completing engineering tasks on time and within budget, administering engineering document control, supervising, mentoring and training subordinates, communicating with customers and production to ensure conforming products, planning and allocating jobs, and resolving conflicts to meet deadlines.

• Voice all concerns while working with production staff, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Operations regarding current or potential production issues.
• Review all new project release packages to verify that customers’ specifications are achievable.
• Participate in new product launch meetings.
• Assist Quality Assurance with establishing inspection documents and procedures.
• Recommend continuous improvement actions to enhance work processes.

• Quoting/Cost estimating: develop Bills of Materials (BOM) to facilitate pricing inquiries and calculate material usage.
• Review new project release packages to verify customer specifications and participate in new‑product‑launch meetings.
• Develop manufacturing processes for all parts; assist operators with questions and provide technical advice.
• Work with Production to improve efficiency on new and existing jobs.
• Drive process improvements to generate cost reduction ideas.
• Monitor actual job cost vs quoted job cost.
• Help write process sheets (travelers) for each job.
• Analyze and improve processes for time/cost efficiencies.
• Establish and maintain machine‑utilization status.
• Create new travelers and/or modify existing travelers based on post‑program evaluation meetings.
• Design machining, welding, inspection and assembly fixtures.
• Provide technical direction to operators as needed.
• Supervise tools, fixtures, etc. when required.
• Maintain engineering drawings and program files.
• Collaborate with customers to achieve desired results.
• Provide engineering support to meet production schedules.

• Ability to resolve problems using logical, systematic and sequential approaches.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of best practices, methods and techniques related to building, facilities and equipment maintenance and repair.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
