Senior Commissioning Agent

M/E Engineering (now Salas O’Brien Consulting and Engineering Group of New York, Inc.) is seeking a Senior Commissioning Agent in our Rochester, NY office. M/E Engineering is a full-service MEP engineering firm dedicated to creating sustainable built environments.

• Assemble and lead commissioning teams; conduct scoping and commissioning meetings.
• Develop and update commissioning plans; coordinate commissioning work through all project phases.
• Review design, drawings, and specifications; develop design review reports and commissioning specifications.
• Review and accept contractor submittals, trade coordination drawings, building models, and functional performance test procedures.
• Document and perform site visits, system checks, HVAC piping pressure tests, ductwork testing and cleaning, construction checklists, and system startup documentation.
• Analyze D.D.C. system trend logs; maintain a master issue log; verify accuracy of air and water testing and balance reports.
• Coordinate, witness, and document functional performance tests performed by contractors; oversee and approve owner training.
• Compile commissioning records, including summary reports, non-compliance issue logs, test schedules, construction checklists, start-up reports, and trend log analysis.
• Perform warranty period reviews and pre-warranty expiration reports; perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor or Associate of Applied Science Degree (preferred).
• Eight years of experience in project commissioning or design.
• At least one Professional Commissioning Accreditation.
• Preferably holds LEED AP BD+C.

The compensation range for this position is $87,360 to $120,000 per year.
