Our Bridge team is looking for a Structural Bridge Engineer in our Albany, NY office. The successful candidate will become part of an exciting and dynamic structural group and will have opportunities to contribute to projects in New York State as well as large projects throughout North America.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Oversee design and preparation of contract documents for new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridges
- Perform load rating analysis of existing bridges
- Perform design calculations, drawings, and details for various bridge design projects
- Mentor and monitor junior structural engineers
- Review shop drawings produced by fabricators and detailers, calculations performed by other engineers, coordinate with design team, site visits to address site issues and verify existing conditions, and respond to requests for information
- Assist with the management and administration of projects, including budget tracking, developing staffing requirements, coordinating quality reviews, and assuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environment fundamentals
- Coordinate with clients as required to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Licensed Professional Engineer with license in the State of NY
- Proficiency in STAAD, CSI, SAP, AASHTOWare BrR and other structural analysis and design software
- Ability to develop drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation and Open Bridge Modeler
- Understanding design codes and agency standards such as AASHTO, ASCE, AISC and ACI
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Leadership and team building skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the structural design and analysis of bridges and other transportation structures
- Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one in NY

Pay and BenefitsPay Range:
Locations in MN, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $77,300.00 - Max Salary $. Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles are bonus eligible.
