Job Description:
The Spec Systems Architect will provide a key role in the expansion of L3
Harris's systems solutions for International C2 and Mission Systems. The Systems Architect will support the development of complex systems, ensuring architectural integrity and consistency across the pursuits and program execution. The Systems Architect will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define system architecture for new and existing products, balancing technical performance, cost, and schedule while meeting customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Support Technical Discussions: Assist/Lead technical discussions with customers developing systems solutions based on L3
Harris Radio and modern MANET Waveforms. - Develop System Architectures: Help develop system architectures to meet customer-specific requirements for Comms modernization and C4
ISR systems. - Contribute to Business Growth: Participate in regional business development, opportunities, and strategic goals alongside Sales and Business Development teams.
- Assist in System Integration: Provide support during the design and integration of L3
Harris products with third-party systems, including intercom systems, electronics, software applications, and power systems. - Support Physical Integration: Assist with the physical integration of Radio products into various platforms such as land vehicles, shelters, fixed sites, ships, aircraft, and UAVs.
- Prepare Documentation: Prepare white papers and presentations, and assist in presenting custom systems solutions to customers.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with Sales, Program, and Project Management to translate customer requirements into balanced technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
- Attend Conferences: Represent L3
Harris Communication Systems at NATO and customer-led conferences and technical meetings, sharing relevant topics with internal teams. - Coordinate with Engineering: Work with Product PLM and Engineering to influence technical product changes and roadmaps based on customer requirements.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to international locations to support customer meetings, demos, conferences, and equipment integration.

Qualifications:
- BSEE/BSME/BSCE/BSSE and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in Systems Level Design and Integration around relevant technologies.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
