Build Applied Logix (AX) provides product OEMs with leading-edge embedded systems design services and product commercialization expertise. Our electronics, software, and mechanical engineers bring deep, cross-disciplinary experience to a wide range of industries including industrial automation, telecom and networking, aerospace and defense, medical devices, energy and utilities, transportation and logistics, and agriculture and precision farming.

With a team of 70+ engineers, Re:

Build Applied Logix offers its customers uncommon depth and breadth across the critical skillsets essential to modern digital systems product development, including:

• Custom analog and high-speed digital embedded electronics and fully integrated subsystems.
• Embedded software and firmware on bare metal, RTOS, or Linux (as appropriate for the application).
• Enclosures for electronic systems.
• Mechanical systems.
• Tooling design and manufacturing process development.
• Cost-effective, rapid prototyping.

Who we are looking for

We seek an experienced, engineering-first digital product development leader capable of driving organizational growth, process discipline, talent and leadership development, and continuous improvement within a complex engineering environment. Central to our model is the ability to facilitate collaboration with other Re:

Build engineering and manufacturing companies and to lead the AX senior engineering team who work in distributed settings. Based in Rochester, NY, and reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the business as we continue to grow our capabilities, customer mix, and team.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in embedded systems-based product development across a wide range of end-use applications, along with a proven ability to lead large engineering teams, deepen engineering capability, broaden the customer base, and mature operating methods and processes in a rapidly growing business. You bring excellent communication and relationship-building skills to manage both internal collaboration and customer engagements, as well as creative problem-solving skills and the ability to apply best practices—and new technologies—from other businesses and contexts.

You bring significant P&L leadership experience, strong business acumen, a continuous improvement mentality, commercial prowess, and excellent coaching and motivational skills. Further, you will have demonstrated a strong understanding of and commitment to applying AI agents to maximize your own personal and your team’s effectiveness.
