This role manages locally administered federal aid transportation projects, overseeing cost, scope, and schedule while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The position assists in project development, prepares planning documents and technical reports, and supports data analysis including GIS work, pavement modeling, and traffic forecasting. Located at NYSDOT-Planning in Watertown, NY, this is a full-time permanent position with 37.5 hours per week and telecommuting allowed.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 24 qualifying semester credit hours in relevant fields (civil engineering, transportation planning, GIS, etc.)
- For Trainee 2: one year of qualifying transportation/highway experience or a master's degree
- For Analyst: two years of qualifying experience or master's degree plus one year experience
- Qualifying experience must include direct responsibility for written reports and transportation systems analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, ArcGIS, and Oracle enterprise tools preferred
