Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, experience with high-risk obstetric care, and a commitment to supporting mothers and newborns through all stages of labor, delivery, and recovery.
You’ll join a collaborative, patient-centered team providing exceptional care in a fast-paced L&D environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk and multiple gestations.
- Manage and monitor patients receiving magnesium sulfate, oxytocin (Pitocin), and other obstetric medications.
- Perform external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM and IUPC).
- Support neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn care, including APGAR scoring and stabilization.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy per physician orders.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Accurately document patient care and outcomes using the EPIC charting system.
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required.
- Orientation: 36 hours provided.
- Float Requirement: Yes, as needed.
- Scrub Color: Navy bottoms; navy or white tops.
- Locals: Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
- Patient Population: Pregnant and postpartum patients at any gestational age, including triage and recovery.
- Active NY RN license (required; must be in hand prior to start).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
- Certifications
Required:
BLS, ACLS (or OB ACLS), NRP, EFM certification. - Charting: EPIC proficiency required; GE Centricity experience a plus.
