Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Must maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with occasional 1:1 based on acuity

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• New York license must be in hand to submit

• Must live over 75 mile radius from facility

• First time travelers accepted

• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Floating to other units required

• Care for 16-bed MICU with complex patients including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management

• Manage specialized equipment including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella

• Skills required include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, ventilator care, ABG interpretation, and suctioning

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

• Up to 5 hours of billable module completion required pre-start

The facility maintains high acuity patient care with state-of-the-art equipment and interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization emphasizes quality patient outcomes and maintains modern technology to support complex critical care needs.
