Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts with every other weekend requirement

• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg unit

• Float to Med Surg units as needed

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions

• EPIC charting system experience required

• BLS certification required

• Previous charge experience required

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required

• Must live more than 75 miles from facility

• Scrub color:
Any combination of navy and white

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 38

• Specializes in post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post MI patients

• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, rapid response/code team participation, pacemaker care, blood product administration, central line management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, and isolation precautions

• Manage patients with complex medical conditions, orthopedic overflow, and long-term care needs

• Use respiratory equipment including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and high flow nasal cannula

• Complete pre-start modules with up to 5 billable hours

This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced cardiac care services. The 26-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit specializes in complex cardiac interventions and post-procedural care, supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The facility maintains high standards for patient care with modern equipment and comprehensive support services.
