Job Details:

• Work in a complex care unit providing medical-surgical telemetry nursing care

• Handle patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for medical-surgical patients

• Care for patients with complex medical conditions, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients

• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required

• Floating to other units required

• Previous charge experience required

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions

• Must be from more than 75 mile radius (locals not accepted)

• Must be proficient in EPIC charting system

• Dress code: navy scrubs on bottom, navy or white on top

• Required certification: BLS

• Essential skills include: MS/Tele monitoring, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, rapid response/code team utilization, pacemaker care (temporary/permanent), feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, peripheral line management, PICC line management, IV insertion, heparin protocols, orthopedic trauma care, total joint replacement care, surgical drain management, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, tracheostomy management, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac management

• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours, total may reach 10 hours)
