36 or 48hr/wk, DEN rotation, weekends, holidays and on call per unit need

The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients. CABG's TAVI's and Heart Failure (VAD's, ECMO, Artificial Heart and Heart Transplants) just to name afew. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff cares for patients of allages. The Surgical Technologist will provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures and assists the surgical team from the scrub position during an operation.

Responsible for proper care and handling of instruments and facilitating room turnover between cases. Maintains sterile technique, safe handling of sharps and performance of surgical counts as per hospital policy. Demonstrates proper handling of solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of a registered nurse. Must have 2 years’ recent experience in a cardiac operation room.

• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Two (2) years or recent experience in a cardiac OR
• Able to scrub and circulate
