Location: City of Rochester
Sr. Human Resources Generalist (Contract)
Base pay range: $52.00/hr - $55.00/hr
Schedule:
8am to 5pm Monday Through Friday
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist and Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR support for a dynamic product development and manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities and partnering with business leaders to drive talent initiatives. Key areas of focus include employee relations, leave administration, performance management, compensation, recruitment planning and execution, immigration, communications, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers by addressing workplace concerns proactively and resolving issues as they arise. Conduct interviews, inquiries, investigations, exit interviews, and focus groups. Promote a positive organizational culture and effective communication practices. - Performance Management:
Provide guidance and execute actions aligned with company performance management and compensation processes. - Leadership Development:
Identify opportunities for leadership and management development. Facilitate development plans for key talent and collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement training and development programs. - HR Operations:
Oversee all aspects of onboarding, orientation, immigration support, unemployment claims, benefits administration, and leave of absence management. Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of employee records. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to legal and company policy requirements. Coordinate completion of mandatory compliance training. - Data & Analytics:
Utilize Workday, engagement survey data, and manual tracking to assess talent metrics, identify trends, and recommend actionable solutions. - Programs & Projects:
Partner with HR colleagues to implement global programs and lead or participate in HR-related projects.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience
- HR experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills and a results-oriented approach
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Preferred: Advanced degree or HR certification
- Experience with Workday HRIS
- Demonstrated ability to partner across functions and within a matrixed organization
- Proficiency in coaching, conflict resolution, team building, influencing, facilitation, training, data analysis, presentation, and process development
