Database Developer

* This position is a Hybrid work schedule- we are only accepting candidates located in Pittsburgh, PA or Rochester, NY*

SUMMARY OF JOB: The Database developer reports to the Director of Application Development and will be responsible for SQL, ETL and analytics development of database solutions within the company’s technology platform. The position will collaborate closely with the Database Administrator and Application Developers to ensure development procedures and standards are followed and coach the data team as they deliver and maintain solutions for the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIB LITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and databases supporting custom database solutions including on-prem database, cloud infrastructure, etc.
• Design, implement and maintain ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; support and optimize data infrastructure
• Analytic Reporting using Power
  
  BI.
• Collaborate with third-party resources and vendors in support of projects and operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, a related field or 5 years of related work experience
• 5 or more years of database development experience
• Demonstrable SQL, SSIS and Power
  
  BI experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with non-technical business leaders and teams when necessary
• Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus
• Effective prioritization and project management skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to mentor individuals, build and lead teams

This position is exempt and paying an annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience and market location.
