Minimum Requirements- Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma, AND EITHER:
- One (1) year paid full‑time or equivalent part‑time experience providing computer support to users, diagnosing and resolving software/hardware problems, or training users.
- Successful completion of nine (9) college semester credit hours in a computer science or information technology field.
- Possession of a CompTIA A+, Microsoft Office Specialist, or Google IT Support Professional Certification.
- An equivalent combination of education or experience as defined by limits of (a)–(c).
- Applicants qualifying under sections (b) or (c) must submit a copy of their transcript or certificate at time of application.
Must possess a valid New York State motor vehicle license or demonstrate ability to meet transportation needs of the job.
Desired Qualifications- CompTIA A+ certification.
- Experience supporting Google Products (Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- Experience supporting large enterprise applications like Class Link, Frontline, Safe Schools, and Infinite Campus.
- Experience imaging/maintaining computer systems on Microsoft Windows, Chrome OS, and Apple iOS.
- Punctual, organized, meticulous, and willing to document resolutions.
- Flexible, analytical, enthusiastic problem solver willing to be mentored.
- Respond to routine and emergency needs from staff, teachers, parents, students, and community members via phone, email, and in person.
- Answer questions about computer hardware and software in a friendly, understandable manner.
- Participate in the helpdesk schedule rotation.
- Arrive on time when onsite support is required, providing friendly, non‑intrusive assistance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot reported problems, diagnosing quickly and accurately.
- Provide timely feedback and documentation of solutions (e.g., ticket notes, calls, on‑site visits).
- Provide training on computer equipment and software when required.
- Perform routine tasks: imaging and installing new hardware; installing and configuring software; applying updates; repairing and updating systems using documentation or approved diagnostics.
- Run and manage computer cables and cords (Power, USB, HDMI, etc.) keeping them neat.
- Diagnose, test, and clean used equipment for redeployment.
- All other duties as assigned.
