Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buyer to support purchasing operations for our HVAC manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for sourcing materials and components, managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining competitive costs.
Key Responsibilities- Purchase raw materials, HVAC components, parts, and supplies to support manufacturing operations.
- Review material requirements, inventory levels, and production schedules to determine purchasing needs.
- Create and manage purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to help control costs and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and receiving teams to prevent material shortages.
- Resolve supplier issues involving late deliveries, pricing discrepancies, and material quality.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in the company's ERP or purchasing system.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and purchasing processes.
- Previous purchasing or buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing processes preferred.
