Assistant Director of Maintenance
Rochester Center is seeking a Full‑Time Assistant Director of Maintenance to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Rochester, NY. Previous maintenance experience is necessary, Nursing Home setting preferred.
Base pay range: $39,520.00/yr - $41,600.00/yr
Responsibilities- Assist the Director with the management of department operations and personnel.
- Oversee regular inspections of the facility and equipment for safety, upkeep, and appearance.
- Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules.
- Schedule and ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs.
- Provide oversight of contracted maintenance/repairs to ensure timely completion of services.
- Maintain records of all repairs, preventive maintenance, warranties, and inspections.
- Coordinate department operations, budgets, and monitor expenditures.
- Ensure all work is done in accordance with State/Federal and OSHA standards.
- Working knowledge of NYS Dept of Health regulations, OSHA, MSDS, CDC, boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service.
- Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.
- Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Supervisory experience in maintenance, preferably in LTC settings.
- Ability to multitask, stay on task, and maintain focus in stressful situations.
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
