Material Handler at OGP – Optical Gaging Products

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour based on experience

• Complete daily cycle counts timely and accurately.
• Pick, label, and issue material (via ERP system) for job orders to support manufacturing and customer orders.
• Transact incoming material into stock. Verify material counts, put away location, and appropriate packaging.
• Provide material to customers in a usable form, ensuring it is packaged properly and delivered in a form that supports their operation.
• Understand and apply Kanban principles to scan, fill, and deliver Kanban bins.
• Perform location audits for inventory validation as requested.
• Perform daily 6S activities—maintain an organized and 6S compliant workplace.
• Complete all transactions in the assigned zone. Work with team members in their zones as the workload dictates.
• Communicate any issues to Group Leader and/or supervisor as they occur.
• Work safely—immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or material damage.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Material handling or stockroom experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Prior experience working with an ERP system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong ability to focus on work tasks and follow instructions.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products.
  
  Willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the stockroom.
