Dixon Tool and Manufacturing, a division of KRO Industries, is a leading and growing provider of CNC machining services in Rochester, NY.
Role DescriptionEDM Set-up and Operator at Dixon Tool and Manufacturing. Full-time preferred, but will consider part-time employees, this position is on-site Monday thru Friday with opportunities for overtime. The EDM Set-up Operator will be responsible for program set up, machine operation, quality control, machining, milling, and working with machinery to produce high-quality parts.
Qualifications- Machine Operation and Machinery handling skills
- Experience in Quality Control, Measuring tools, Calipers, Micrometers, and Indicators
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings - Blueprints, CAD models, etc.
- Attention to detail and precision in work
- Physical dexterity and ability to lift heavy objects (Approx. 50lbs) such as a Milling Vise.
- Certificate or Diploma in Machining (related field) or equivalent work experience
- Effective problem-solving skills and communication
- Ability to make adjustments to machine controls to ensure accurate production
- Experience and proficiency with EDM, CNC mill, and/or CNC Lathe
- Programming abilities preferred but not required
