Manufacturing Equipment Operator I/II/III - A, B and C Shifts

We are a French pharmaceutical industrial group with more than 2000 employees, operating 10 sites on 4 continents. Our Rochester, NY plant, Unither Manufacturing LLC, specializes in sterile single‑dose manufacturing and employs over 280 people.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Equipment Operator is responsible for setting‑up, operating, cleaning, and maintaining production equipment while strictly following cGMP, SOPs, and all environmental and safety guidelines.

• Prepare equipment for production runs: review schedules, verify supplies, and complete qualification and validation protocols.
• Operate and monitor production equipment, recording critical process parameters and maintaining documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to keep equipment in GMP condition.
• Support departmental projects, quality teams, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure aseptic conditions in clean‑room areas, wearing appropriate gowning and following all HSSE rules.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, placing work orders when needed.
• Assist in minimizing downtime during startup processes and work with other associates to maintain production schedules.
• Perform integrity testing of sterilizing filters and air filters using bubble point and diffusion methods.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for all activities.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating unsafe conditions.

• A Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• B Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (10% shift differential)
• C Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (15% shift differential)
• D Shift (rotating weekends): 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (20% differential)
• E Shift (rotating weekends): 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (25% differential)

• Prior experience in high‑speed manufacturing, preferably in aseptic/clean‑room environments.
• Demonstrated competency with multiple pieces of production equipment.
• Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical batch processing or compounding is preferred.
• Basic mechanical and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software.
• Good mathematical skills: multiplication, division, percent calculations, metric‑to‑standard conversions.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to train peers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in a noisy, dusty environment; must wear required PPE.

Hourly rate: US $19.00 – US $22.00. Individual salary will be determined within this range based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
