Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role based in Rochester, NY for a Davenport Operator at Buell Automatics Inc. The Davenport Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Davenport machines to produce precision-turned metal components. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, adjusting machine settings to ensure accuracy, maintaining production efficiency, and monitoring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
Collaborating with team members to identify and resolve production issues is also a critical part of this role.
- Experience in machine operations, particularly with Davenport machines, and knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Understanding of quality control processes, attention to detail, and precision in work.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address equipment and production issues.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to work collaboratively with production teams.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to industry regulations.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machining is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or certification is a plus.
