The Level I Registered Nurse (RN) is a new Associate Degree (AD) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) who is completing the Nursing Practice Orientation Program at 6 months of clinical experience or less post licensure. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Level I nurse is accountable for the provision of direct care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.
The Level I nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services in an organized manner prioritizing safety and team collaboration and communication. The Level I nurse contributes to unit activities that enhance patient care outcomes. Upon completion of the six-month evaluation, if expectations of performance are met, the nurse is advanced to Level II RN.
Surgical Unit – SE5
- New Tower:
General Surgery/GYN/Oncology. All private rooms. Specialty areas include Bariatric, Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics.
The referenced pay range is $38,000 - $41,000 per year. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the range, determined by market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.
Requirements- BS in Nursing preferred.
- Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers).
