Location: City of Rochester
Clinical Resource Nurse (Nursing Supervisor) - Full or Part-time
Full and part‑time positions covering weekend/holiday rotation. Reports to Director/Associate Director of Nursing for Inpatient Services.
Key
Job Responsibilities:
- Expert in patient care, serves as a clinical and policy expert and resource.
- Responds to emergency clinical patient care needs, including all codes.
- De‑escalation and service recovery to support patient and staff safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborates with admitting and hospital leadership to accomplish efficient patient flow.
- Provides guidance and support to nursing staff in clinical care, decision making, and problem solving.
- Supervision of SWAT LPN staff during shift.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary partners to achieve optimal patient care and escalation of care when needed.
- Support staff safety (BBF, fit for duty, de‑escalation, disciplinary action).
- Manage staffing resources to ensure adequate staffing and efficient workflows.
Pay Range: $94,130.40 – $ (based on a 40‑hour work week). Compensation within this range will be determined by market data, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements:
- NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse
:
Current licensure in good standing. - Education
: BSN required;
Master’s in nursing or a relevant degree preferred. - Nursing Professional Certification
:
Preferred; obtain within 12 months after starting the position. Options include Medical Surgical, Critical Care, Leadership, or other relevant certifications. - Technical Certification
: ACLS required; PALS preferred (achieve within 12 months of hire). - Experience
: 5 years of nursing experience required; critical care nursing experience strongly preferred; leadership experience required, including charge nurse experience.
Additional Information
Supervisory or additional leadership experience is preferred.
