Licensed Practical Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Part‑time)

The Licensed Practical Nurse in Acute Care (LPN) provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays an integral role in the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families. The LPN provides direct patient care in collaboration with other health care team members and completes other tasks to support patient care. The state education department distinguishes the scope of practice for LPNs and RNs;

the tasks performed by the LPN are derived from the LPN scope of practice.

Pay Range: $26.77 – $34.49 per hour. Individual salaries will be set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Part‑time 20 hours per week

• Must be licensed in NYS as an LPN.
• Education requirements for licensure as an LPN in NYS. Licensed in NYS as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross BLS) upon hire. CPR renewal accepted only as AHA BLS.

• Level I:
  New graduate LPN or preferred 6 months work experience as an LPN in an acute care hospital OR long‑term care.
• Level II:
  At least 1 year experience as an LPN in an acute care hospital OR 2 years in long‑term care.
