Oncology RN, Rotating Shifts $3211 Weekly Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the oncology department, including administering chemotherapy treatments and managing side effects
• Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well‑being, and provide appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and self‑care measures
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system (Cerner)
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, as prescribed by physicians
• Perform procedures such as spinal taps, gastric lavage, and catheter care as needed
• Assist with ambulatory surgery center procedures related to oncology patients
• Conduct physical examinations and provide primary care services to patients as required
• Manage pain through various interventions and collaborate with the pain management team

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of {location}
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Experience working with pediatric oncology patients is a plus
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems, specifically Cerner
• Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment
