Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts available:
Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) and Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend requirement includes working every other weekend.

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant patients at various stages of pregnancy, assist in deliveries, and care for postpartum patients. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing support to families during the birthing process.

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections.
• Provide recovery care for C-section patients.
• Administer medications, including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin.
• Perform assessments and monitor fetal heart rates using external fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Provide postpartum care, including management of fundus, lochia, and perineum.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn security processes.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for patient documentation.

• Active New York RN License (single state; not compact).
• Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, EFM, and NRP.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
