Travel Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Pay: $,900 – $3,200 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:

36 or 48 hours per week
Primarily weekdays

Shifts:

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
On-call required per unit needs

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support a high-acuity cardiac surgery program. The ideal candidate will have strong experience assisting in complex cardiac procedures, including vein harvesting and chest closure, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons during cardiac procedures as an RNFA

Assist with chest exposure and closure

Participate in complex cardiac surgical cases

Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety

Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes

Case Experience Includes:

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

Minimally invasive cardiac surgery (e.g., mini AVR)

DaVinci robotic cases (preferred)

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
