Wound Healing Center - RN , Outpt

The Wound Healing Center RN is responsible for providing direct patient care and case management in a dynamic outpatient setting. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with a focus on wound care management and a commitment to collaborative healthcare.

• Pay: $39 - $52/hour
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
• Provide case management according to specific protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and attend to a variety of wounds and their healing processes.
• Assist with patient intakes and procedures administered in the clinic.
• Conduct telephone triage and support home care service plans.
• Maintain clinical competence in procedural skills and patient education related to wound care management.
• Obtain wound care certification within 2 years of hire date.

• Education: Wound care certification required within 2 years of hire date.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience with adult patient populations. Previous wound care and/or home care experience preferred.
