Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required. Candidates must float within their skill set. Candidates located within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.

Description:

The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Room. Shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM. The position requires experience in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy. The nurse will be responsible for starting and maintaining IVs. Experience with IV vasopressors is required. The role involves the management of CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators. Candidates should have skills in CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI.

The nurse will need to interpret and manage dysrhythmias during cardiac monitoring. Emergency care experience for adult and pediatric patients, including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma, is necessary. The nurse will adhere to isolation precautions and triage protocols. Ratios will be 1:5 for adult and geriatric patients with all emergency-type diagnoses. The position requires familiarity with special equipment such as Bair hugger and rapid infuser.

Candidates will be required to float within their skillset as needed. The ER is a state-of-the-art facility featuring advanced diagnostic technology. The nurse may need to work every other holiday if needed. All certifications must be valid and included with the submission.
