American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for an evening shift position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hours (3:00 PM-3:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required when census warrants
• Epic charting system preferred

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required (1.5 years preferred)
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care/management
• Experience with continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Experience with CVA and isolation precautions
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

• Work in a very busy, fast-paced ER setting requiring strong clinical skills
• Responsibilities include obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, managing BiPAP/CPAP, and applying splints
• Handles psychiatric patients including drug overdose and suicidal patients
• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white
• Minimal RTO requested
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous staff must have a 6-month system-wide break in service to be eligible for return
