American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a fast-paced night shift position requiring active NY licensure and prior emergency department experience.

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required when census warrants
• Epic charting system preferred
• Scrubs: any combination of navy and white

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ER experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure patients
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care/management required
• Experience with continuous IV paralytics, IV sedation, and vasopressors required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Experience managing CVA and psychiatric patients, including suicidal and overdose cases
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
• Experience applying splints preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Provide emergency care in a busy, fast-paced ER setting to adult and pediatric patients
• Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills, as this unit only accepts experienced, highly capable RNs
• Minimal RTO requested for this assignment
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous employees must have at least 6 months since their last assignment, system wide
