American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring NY licensure, ACLS/BLS/PALS/NIHSS certification, and Epic charting skills.

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric General Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required when census warrants
• Uses Epic EMR system

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1.5 years of ER nursing experience required
• Fast-paced, high-acuity ER experience required - only strong RNs will be considered
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills required:
  
  dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV paralytics/sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, CVA management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Psychiatric hold and suicidal patient management experience preferred
• Splint application skills preferred

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Minimal RTO requested for consideration
• Facility will accommodate block scheduling requests when possible, though not guaranteed
• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white
• Previous staff must have a 6-month system-wide break in employment to be eligible for rehire
