Adult MedSurg Flex​/Float Team – Assistant Nurse Manager, Level IV

The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Adult Med Surg Flex/Float Team at Strong Memorial Hospital provides direct support to the Nurse Manager and assists in coordinating staffing to ensure adequate coverage across the Med Surg Service line. This role is ideal for experienced RNs looking to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic inpatient setting.

• Support standards of care and provide consultation in patient care delivery.
• Assist in the coordination of supplemental staff placement including flex and float nurses.
• Manage human resources, including orientation and mentoring.
• Develop and evaluate recruitment and retention strategies.
• Monitor patient outcomes and staff competencies.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and expertise at the unit level.
• Lead by example and assess patient care delivery.
• Participate in community and professional organizations to promote nursing visibility.

• BSN required
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience
• Current RN License in New York State
