American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring an active NY RN license, EPIC charting experience, and EFM certification.

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Magnet-recognized acute care teaching hospital
• Twig Birthing Center offers private birthing suites, on-unit ORs, and both OB and midwifery care
• Cares for pregnant patients of all gestational ages and postpartum patients within 6 weeks of delivery
• Uses GE Fetal & Telemetry Monitors, Monica wireless fetal monitoring, Neopuff, and Draeger newborn warmers
• Day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts on a 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday coverage required, if needed
• No on-call requirement
• Floating required within skillset
• Hospital provides scrubs

• Active New York Single State RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS or OB-ACLS, EFM certification, and NRP required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in assisting vaginal deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, and administering Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and Terbutaline
• Experience with APGAR scoring, newborn security banding, radiant warmers, and thermoregulation
• Experience with Foley catheter insertion/management, fundus/lochia/perineum care, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Experience with NST, external fetal heart monitoring (EFM), and IUPC placement and calibration

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a Baby-Friendly, family-centered birthing unit
• Facility averages 100-200 births per month
• Rated High Performing for maternity outcomes and affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted for RN positions
• Returning staff must have at least 6 months since their last assignment with the system
• Candidates must have 10 days or less of requested RTO for consideration
