American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring active NY RN license and dysrhythmia management skills.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, and sepsis
• Day/Eve ratios are 5:1 (stretch 6-7), Night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10)
• PCTs support units with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and ADLs
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope required to meet facility needs
• Epic EMR used, preferred experience

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Peripheral line care/management experience
• Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks
• Non-invasive airway management experience
• Isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
• Experience with BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow, ventilators, trach, and chest tubes
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

• Scrubs must be any combination of navy and white
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• No more than 1 week of RTO allowed per contract
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
