Description:
Position for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse is available. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 5 patients with varying acuity levels. Candidates should be open to accommodating block scheduling, though it is not guaranteed. A float requirement is present when census demands it.
Every other weekend shift is required. RNs will manage patients across different age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. Skills needed include management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy. Knowledge of procedural sedation administration and emergency medication management is necessary. Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Strong general emergency department experience is essential. The unit sees a diverse patient population and provides various interdisciplinary support services.
Candidates must demonstrate competency in handling emergencies and acute situations.
