Description:
The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will possess experience in diverse surgical procedures. Specific cases include orthopedic total joint, trauma, neuro, gynecology/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. Skills in general OR and laparoscopic-assisted procedures are essential. Proficiency in handling complex surgical cases, including Aortic Aneurysm repair and Colorectal surgeries, is needed. Experience with cardiac, vascular, and trauma cases is also required.
The candidate is expected to respond to codes and maintain fire safety protocols. A strong understanding of infection control practices and specimen handling is vital. Adaptability to work with interdisciplinary teams is essential for effective patient care. The successful applicant should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in surgical nursing.
