American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and EPIC experience.

• Acute care teaching hospital setting on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Specific unit assignment will be confirmed at time of offer
• Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday coverage required, if needed
• Floating required within skillset
• Scrubs must be navy blue and/or white
• EPIC charting experience required

• Active New York Single State RN license required in hand (NY is not part of the Compact)
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management
• Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience with blood product administration and heparin protocols

• Provide Med/Surg Tele nursing care within an acute care teaching hospital environment
• Hospital is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
• Facility is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park, offering specialized cardiac, cancer, neuroscience, pediatric, and surgical programs
• Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without charge
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted for RN positions
• Previous employees may be considered if it has been at least 6 months since their last assignment system-wide
