American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active NY RN license and recent acute care experience.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a 528-bed acute care teaching hospital
• Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7
• Specific MS/Tele unit assigned at time of offer
• Night shift (7p-7a) or alternating day shift (7a-7p), 3x12 hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset
• EPIC EMR experience required

• Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not a compact state)
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and Rapid Response/Code team activation
• IV therapy/phlebotomy skills including peripheral line care and management
• Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration/tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions experience required

• Hospital is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
• Affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park, offering specialized services through multiple institutes including cardiac, cancer, and neuroscience
• Scrubs must be any combination of navy blue and white
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RN candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted; LPN candidates may be local
• Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without charge
