American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with NY license in hand and EPIC experience for a tertiary care hospital night shift position.

• Tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds
• MS/Tele unit caring for CHF patients, acute MIs, post-device care (pacemakers), and arrhythmia patients
• Also supports general surgery patients including colorectal, ostomy, plastic/cosmetic, and breast procedure/reconstruction cases
• High volume unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours,
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• EPIC charting experience required

• Active NY RN license required in hand, no exceptions
• BLS and NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification also required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac skills
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration

• Scrub colors limited to navy and white combinations
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
