Description:
The position involves providing direct patient care to older adults in a long term care environment. There will be a RN overseeing 20 residents with a staff ratio of 8-10 LPNs and 4-6 CNAs. Residents will require geriatric long term care with wound care but no tracheostomy care. No acute care needs will be present in the facility. Duties include medication administration and oversight of CNA colleagues.
Candidates must possess strong critical thinking skills. The ability to work independently while providing care with dignity and respect is essential. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a long term care setting is required. The candidate must hold a valid NYS LPN license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
