Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care

ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Rotating Shift) in Rochester, New York.

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: Rotating shifts of 3 days per week, with weekend and holiday requirements. On-call and callback duties may be assigned.

Job Description:

This opportunity involves providing care for geriatric residents in a long-term care environment. You will be responsible for direct patient care, including medication administration and oversight of CNA colleagues. Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently while providing care with dignity and respect are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for residents, including medication administration.
• Oversee and support CNA colleagues in providing quality care.
• Perform wound care as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain a high standard of dignity and respect in all patient interactions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and report on patient progress.

Required Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in a long-term care setting.

Certifications/Licensure:

• NYS LPN License is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
